Google confirms an update to its spam detection system, called the December 2022 link spam update, is rolling out now and will take up to two weeks to complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s In The December 2022 Link Spam Update?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Google is upgrading its spam detection system with the ability to find unnatural links on search results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The December 2022 link spam update utilizes Google\u2019s AI-based spam-prevention system, SpamBrain, to nullify unnatural links.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to detecting spam directly, Google says SpamBrain can now identify sites buying links and sites used for building outgoing links.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“SpamBrain is our\u00a0AI-based spam-prevention system<\/a>. Besides using it to detect spam directly, it can now detect both sites buying links, and sites used for the purpose of passing outgoing links.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
