These updates are one-day updates and do not roll out over a multi-day period like Google\u2019s core updates typically do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>More details.<\/strong>&nbsp;\u201cAs part of our regular work to improve results, we\u2019ve released a spam update to our systems,\u201d Google said, although it did not say much more outside of these two Twitter posts. \u201cThis spam update will conclude today. A second one will follow next week. We\u2019ll add to this tweet thread when that happens,\u201d Google added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Google added links to existing documents where it talks about its spam prevention and web admin guidelines<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lots of updates going on.<\/strong>\u00a0In the past three months, SEOs have had multiple Search updates roll out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The product reviews update starts on April 8th and concludes on April 22nd.<\/li><li>The June core update began on June 2nd and ended on June 12th.<\/li><li>The page experience update initiated on June 15th and will roll out through the end of August.<\/li><li>And, the July core update is expected to start rolling out next month.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why we care.<\/strong>\u00a0If you notice ranking changes today, it might be related to Google\u2019s spam efforts and this spam update, so ensure your site is playing by Google\u2019s rules and guidelines.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you notice ranking changes today, it might be related to Google&#8217;s spam fighting efforts.
